The Active Schools Team works in partnership with a dedicated network of volunteers. Together we create more opportunities for children and young people to get active.
Volunteering information
We tailor every volunteering experience towards individual strengths and interests. This means everyone can contribute in a way that’s meaningful to them.
You do not need any previous experience — just enthusiasm and a passion for helping others. Volunteers are fully supported throughout their journey by their local Active Schools Coordinator.

Joining us means you could:
- Gain coaching experience

You could lead or support with:
- Breakfast clubs
- Lunch clubs
- After school clubs
- One-off events
As part of the recruitment process, you will need to:
- Provide details of two referees
- Join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme (at no cost to the volunteer)
