Summer Activities for Kids 2025

From sports camps and swimming courses to theatre shows and arts and crafts, we have a range of activities for your kids to take part in this summer.

What's on this week

Run over three days, this course is for our more advanced swimmers. We will introduce the basic skills required to keep swimmers safe, carry out effective rescues and perform some basic first aid.

This course will be a mix of theory, first aid and practical pool sessions.

This class is suitable for children at SS4 and above and will be held at the Leisuredrome Leisure Centre from 09:00 - 15:00.

Gymnastics

Gymnastics camps for those aged 5+. Can choose between gymnastics alone or combined with trampolining. 

Morning or afternoon at the Allander Leisure Centre.

From £56 or £65 for the week.

Multi-Sports

A camp where children aged 5+ can enjoy multiple sports.

Between 09:00 - 15:00 at the Allander Leisure Centre.

£98 for the week.

Dress up in a Roman costume, decorate yourselves with glitter tattoos, make a collage and enjoy other craft activities.

Refreshments available.

Diffusion Textile Artists are a group of mixed media and textile artists living in Scotland.

This exhibition is suitable for all ages. Activities for children will be available including Roman jigsaws, snakes and ladders, build an interactive Puffer and a colouring table.

What's on this week

smART Ceramics will take you on a journey in clay!

Work with our real-life ceramicist and create some awesome artwork. Your little one will also get the chance to throw on a pottery wheel!

A fun activity for kids aged nine to 11 during the summer holidays.

Kids will learn the basic skills and shapes for artistic swimming and put these to music with short routines!

Children must be able to swim at least 50 metres demonstrating two stokes and be comfortable in deep water without goggles. This class is suitable for children at SS3 and above.

Summer Activities for kids with Additional Support Needs (ASN)

We have a range of activities which cater to those with ASN. 

Children are also welcome to join the rest of our classes if they feel they would manage. Please contact us in advance at edlc@eastdunbarton.gov.uk so we can discuss your requirements.

What's on

Swimming lessons specifically tailored for children with additional support needs.

Children must be aged 5+ and a parent/carer needs to accompany the child in the water.
